10. OLD HEATHFIELD (Sussex). There is a twentieth century stained glass window at the east end of the north aisle, which depicts the first Communion at James Fort, Virginia, with three Gentlemen kneeling – whom I presume to be President & Captain Edward-Maria Wingfield and Captain Bartholomew Gosnold, and maybe Captain John Smith.
